AI Laser Engraving Software & Design Tools
AI laser engraving design software with 30+ tools. Generate engraving-ready vectors, patterns, and depth maps, then export straight to LightBurn or EZCAD.
Capabilities & Feature Set
- AI pattern and artwork generation for laser engraving — describe a design or mask over a photo, then export engraving-ready black-and-white art.
- Photo-to-vector tracing, dithering, background removal, and upscaling for CO2, fiber, diode, and MOPA laser engravers.
- Custom 3D coins, medallions, depth maps, and relief carvings generated from any image.
- City-map engraving, finger-joint boxes, tumbler wraps, lithophanes, and 30+ more laser tools in one workspace.
- Export to SVG, DXF, PNG, STL, and LightBurn (.lbrn2) — compatible with LightBurn and EZCAD.
- Free with no account: a LightBurn .lbrn2 material test grid generator and an EZCAD test-card export (DXF + CSV) for fiber and MOPA galvo markers.
- One connected job, not isolated tools: generate or upload the art, prepare and validate it, keep the measured geometry and proof checkpoints, then hand off to the machine — with the job record still attached.

What Operators Say
“I love this software!”
“This is the easiest I have seen.”
“Reticle Red is becoming one of my favorite software to use. It has a lot of tools that many others do not, and approaches things differently to create more consistent results. A++”
“Reticle Red definitely takes the guess work out of your design work with tutorials to walk through the process. I highly recommend it.”

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Reticle Red?
A browser workspace of 30+ laser tools that both makes the artwork and prepares it for the machine. It generates AI patterns, scrollwork fill, 3D relief depth maps, challenge coins, city maps, tumbler wraps, and finger-joint boxes, then exports files that open directly in LightBurn or EZCAD. There is nothing to install.
What does the LightBurn .lbrn2 file actually contain?
Not just the shape. Reticle Red writes the measured geometry at real millimetre scale, the layer assignments, and the design context that produced it — so the file opens as a job you can run rather than an image you still have to set up. Several tools now export a .lbrn2; the difference is how much of the job survives the export.
Which lasers and software does Reticle Red work with?
It is hardware agnostic. Output is built for CO2, fiber, diode, MOPA, and UV machines, and exports cover SVG, DXF, PNG, STL, and native LightBurn .lbrn2, plus an EZCAD test-card export (DXF + CSV) for fibre and MOPA galvo markers. Any laser software that reads those formats will open the files.
Is there a free way to try it?
Yes, two ways. Some tools need no account at all — the LightBurn material test grid generator, the EZCAD test-card export, the Box Maker, photo prep and dithering, and the laser calculators. Beyond that, a new account starts with 12 free credits and no credit card. Failed AI jobs refund automatically.
How much does Reticle Red cost?
Per-tool credit costs are published in full before you sign up — see the pricing page. Purchased credits, referral credits, and Operator Command monthly drops never expire, and photo prep, dithering, the box maker, and the laser calculators never cost credits at all.
Do I own what I make with it?
Yes — including commercial use. Ownership terms are published openly rather than buried, and the AI output ownership page states the position in plain language.
Do I need design experience?
No. The common path is: upload a photo or describe what you want, paint a mask over the area to fill, pick a style, and generate. There are no vector or Photoshop skills required, and the Field Manual and tutorials cover each tool step by step.
