Grip Surfaces Engraving Styles
Grip textures are the least decorative and most demanding thing a laser does. The pattern has to survive being gripped with wet or gloved hands, stay legible after finishing, and hold its geometry when it wraps a curved panel rather than a flat test coupon. These styles cover stipple grades, checkering, tread, knurl, serrations, hex and mesh fields — the patterns people actually cut into firearm grips, tool handles, tumblers and knife scales. Density matters more here than in any other family: too fine and the texture fills in on a second pass, too coarse and it stops functioning as grip.
Materials these styles are tuned for: firearms, metal, tumblers, wood.

Using these styles
Open the Fabricator, load the outline of the part you are engraving, and choose a style from this family. The pattern is generated to fill your outline rather than pasted over it, so the result fits the part instead of being cropped to it. Run a test on matching scrap before committing a production piece — density that reads perfectly on coated metal can close up on open-grain wood, and the fix is usually speed or an extra pass rather than more power.
