Tumbler Engraving Workflows

A good tumbler job begins with measured circumference and a proven rotary setup, not a generic cup-model template. This hub connects wrap geometry, alignment, artwork preparation, settings, and controller handoff for coated, stainless, and color-marked drinkware.

Measure the usable engraving surface

Measure the actual blank and the height available for artwork. Use Wrap Studio to compose the wrap for those dimensions, and distinguish a straight cylinder from a tapered surface. Keep handles, seams and areas the rotary cannot present consistently out of the design.

Align the artwork with the rotary setup

Use the rotary centerline reference to check orientation and placement, then verify the rotary configuration in the receiving software. Frame a small design within the usable area and confirm that the imported scale matches the blank before committing to a full wrap.

Test the coating and wrap boundary

Test the intended mark on a matching blank or suitable sample before the finished tumbler. Inspect contrast, coating removal, the first and last columns of a wrap, and the join around the circumference. Save the artwork dimensions with the rotary and laser settings that produced the accepted physical result.
