Frequently Asked Questions
What do I get for free?
Every new account starts with 12 welcome credits valid for 30 days once you verify your email — no credit card required. Photo prep, dithering, the Box Maker, Bulk Personalizer, and all laser calculators are free forever; credits are only used by the AI tools, and a failed AI job refunds its credits automatically.
Will it work with my laser?
Yes. Reticle Red is hardware-agnostic — it exports standard SVG, DXF, PNG, STL, and native LightBurn (.lbrn2) files that run on xTool, OMTech, AtomStack, Sculpfun, Thunder, and any other CO2, diode, fiber, or MOPA machine.
Who owns the designs I make?
You do. The Terms of Service assign AI-output ownership to you in writing, your uploads are never used to train models, and commercial use — Etsy, client work, production runs — is fully allowed.
What does it cost after the free credits?
Credit packs are one-time: $1.99 for 12, $9.99 for 100, $39.99 for 550, $70.00 for 1000, $140.00 for 2000 credits. Operator Command is $9.99/month or $100/year and adds 50 credits every month plus 15% bonus credits on every top-up. AI runs start at 2 credits each, and photo prep, dithering, the Box Maker, the Bulk Personalizer and every laser calculator stay free forever. The full live charge table is public — no login required. See the full pricing page
Production checks before export
Use the workflow on a representative sample before committing customer material. Confirm the finished dimensions, smallest line weight, layer assignments, focus, and machine parameters in the software that will run the job. A short test on matching scrap catches scale, contrast, kerf, and material-finish differences while they are still inexpensive to correct.
