Proof of Burn — Free Month for Real Work

Post a finished laser burn you made with a Reticle Red file and earn a free month of Operator Command. Share it to the operator gallery instead and take 15 credits. Real physical work only.

Capabilities & Feature Set

  • Post a finished physical burn publicly and earn one free month of Operator Command — 50 credits, normally $9.99/mo.
  • Prefer not to post publicly? Drop it in the operator gallery with machine, material and settings for 15 credits instead.
  • Real finished pieces only — a photo of the actual burn, never a screenshot, render, or in-app preview.
  • Paid posts must disclose the free month in the post itself, and operators keep ownership of their own work.

A production-first workflow

Proof of Burn — Free Month for Real Work is designed around the full laser job, not a disconnected preview. Start with the best available source artwork, set the real material and machine constraints, inspect small details at output size, and export the format your control software expects. Before using an expensive blank or finished part, verify dimensions, focus, layer assignments, and power settings on comparable scrap. Save the successful result with the job notes so repeat orders begin from a proven setup.

Frequently Asked Questions

What counts as a real burn?

A photo of the actual finished physical piece — wood, metal, acrylic, slate, leather, crystal, tumbler, anything — made with a file you built in Reticle Red. Screenshots, renders and in-app previews do not count. Beginner work and scorched test tiles absolutely do.

Where do I have to post it?

Anywhere public you already spend time: Facebook laser groups, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or the Reticle Red Discord. The post has to name reticle-red.com somewhere a reader can see it, and it has to stay up for 30 days. Follow the rules of whichever platform you choose — we will not reward a post that got you banned.

Do I have to say Reticle Red paid me?

Yes. A free month is compensation, so the post has to disclose it — that is an FTC requirement, and it also reads better than something that sounds like an ad. One line is enough: "Reticle Red gave me a free month for sharing this. The burn is mine and so is the opinion."

How do I claim the free month?

Email support@reticle-red.com with the subject PROOF OF BURN, the link to your post, and your machine, material and settings. We check the post and send back a single-use code for a free month of Operator Command. One free month per operator every 90 days; gallery credits are uncapped.

Who owns my photo after I submit it?

You do. Submitting grants Reticle Red permission to reshare the photo and credit you by first name, business name or handle — it does not transfer ownership, and you can ask us not to use it at any time.
