Frequently Asked Questions

Will it really run on a standard 110 V outlet?

Yes — the SFM60 and SFM100 run on single-phase 110 V / 60 Hz and are air-cooled, so a normal wall outlet is all the site preparation the machine needs. There is no chiller, no plumbing, and the unit sits on a benchtop about the size of a small tower PC and stand.

It ships with EzCAD2 — can I still use LightBurn?

The machine is driven by EzCAD2 on an original JCZ control card. A common workflow is to design in LightBurn or in Reticle Red’s free tools, export your artwork (the machine accepts PLT, PCX, DXF, BMP and JPG among others), and run the mark in EzCAD2. If driving the machine directly from LightBurn matters to you, raise it in your quote so we can confirm compatibility for the exact controller shipped.

SFM60 or SFM100 — which should I ask for?

Both share the same chassis, optics and 175 × 175 mm field. The SFM60 reaches higher pulse frequencies (1–4000 kHz), which favors fine color work, photo-grayscale and delicate plastics; the SFM100 trades some top frequency (1–3000 kHz) for more source power — deeper engraving, faster throughput and tougher metals. If you are unsure, request a quote for both and tell us what you mark.

Can I buy the machine online?

The posted prices are preliminary U.S. DDP list prices, not online checkout offers. A U.S. request receives the current price sheet automatically; we still confirm the exact configuration, ship-to address, freight scope, lead time and order terms before payment. Orders outside the United States require a separate Reticle Red quote with manufacturer input.
