Design files for your ComMarker fiber laser
ComMarker lists EZCAD for its B-series and Titan machines, and its B6 JPT MOPA listing names EZCAD and LightBurn. Reticle Red writes files for both: a free EZCAD test card (a DXF plus a per-pen CSV), a free LightBurn test grid, the MOPA color predictor, or AI artwork fitted to the part you are marking.

The EZCAD test card writes a DXF with every cell on its own pen and a CSV of each pen’s speed, power, frequency and pulse width. The MOPA color predictor brackets oxide colors on stainless and titanium, and the fiber settings table opens any row as a prefilled LightBurn test grid. All free, with no account.

Paint the art zone on a photo or outline of the part and fire: the art is generated inside that zone with holes and borders left clear. On the Download card, pick EZCAD for a ZIP holding the DXF and its pen table, or LightBurn for a .lbrn2. The Run Plan shows the engine and the live price before anything runs, and failed AI jobs refund automatically.
Open a Reticle Red file in EZCAD or LightBurn
-
1. EZCAD: import the DXF
Unzip the download, then bring the DXF in with File > Import. Set each pen from the pen table or CSV, which lists the values per pen because a DXF cannot carry them.
-
2. LightBurn: open the .lbrn2
If your machine runs LightBurn, File > Open (Ctrl or Cmd + O) opens the .lbrn2 projects, and File > Import adds SVG, DXF or PNG files.
-
3. Size and test
Set the size at the real part dimension, check the field and focus, and mark a test on matching scrap before the finished part.
Questions ComMarker owners ask
Which software do ComMarker machines use?
ComMarker’s download center lists EZCAD for its B-series (B3, B4, B6 and their MOPA versions) and Titan 1, and ComMarker Studio for its Omni and COX machines. Its B6 JPT MOPA listing names EZCAD and LightBurn. This page covers the EZCAD and LightBurn machines.
Why does the EZCAD file come with a CSV?
EZCAD reads DXF for vector work, and a DXF cannot hold per-pen speed and power. The CSV lists each pen’s values so you can set them in EZCAD’s pen panel.
Do I need an account?
Not for the test card, the test grid, the MOPA predictor or the settings tables. The AI fill in the Fabricator needs a free account, and new accounts get 12 welcome credits with no card.
Production checks before you export
Use the workflow on a representative sample before committing customer material. Confirm the finished dimensions, smallest line weight, layer assignments, focus, and machine parameters in the software that will run the job. A short test on matching scrap catches scale, contrast, kerf, and material-finish differences while they are still inexpensive to correct.

“I love this software!”
“This is the easiest I have seen.”
“Reticle Red is becoming one of my favorite software to use. It has a lot of tools that many others do not, and approaches things differently to create more consistent results. A++”
“Reticle Red definitely takes the guess work out of your design work with tutorials to walk through the process. I highly recommend it.”
