Mockup Studio renders your finished artwork as a photorealistic engraving on a real product — so you can show a customer (or a marketplace listing) exactly how the piece will look before a single laser pass. Drop in a design, pick a product, and the AI composites it onto the surface with realistic lighting, material texture, and perspective.

Operating Steps

Step 1: Pick a Product

Choose the surface to render on — slate coaster, walnut plaque, stainless tumbler, leather patch, acrylic, or a steel keychain. Each product has its own lighting and material response.

Step 2: Upload Your Design

Drop in a finished, high-contrast design (the same art you'd send to the laser). A transparent-background PNG works best so the product surface shows through around your artwork.

Step 3: Generate the Mockup

Click Generate Mockup. The render takes about 45 seconds and the live credit cost is shown right on the button — credits are billed only for a successful render.

Step 4: Download or Save

Download the finished mockup as a PNG, or choose Save to Projects to keep it with the rest of your work in Armory › Projects.

Tactical Tip

Mockup Studio is for presentation, not production — it shows how a design will look, it does not change your cut file. Render the exact art you plan to engrave so the preview matches the finished piece, and use a clean transparent-background design for the most realistic result.

Before a production run

Save the source file before changing geometry or parameters, confirm the final physical dimensions, and inspect the smallest details at the intended output size. Use matching scrap to test focus, speed, power, frequency, and layer order. Record the settings that worked with the material and machine so the next job starts from a verified result.
