Frequently Asked Questions
Does it need a computer or a software subscription?
No. The built-in 3.2-inch touchscreen runs the marker’s own software with free lifetime updates — import a file over Type-C or USB, focus with the guide light, and mark. It also syncs with your phone or PC when you would rather design on a bigger screen.
When does the fiber laser fire versus the blue diode?
You choose the source in software: the 1064 nm fiber laser handles metals, coated metals and ceramics, while the 455 nm blue diode marks wood, bamboo, leather and dark plastics. Both share the same 55 × 55 mm field, focus and screen, so switching materials never means switching machines.
Is it only handheld, or can it work on a desk too?
Both. It weighs 2.7 kg with a pistol grip for handheld work, and a fold-down rear stand converts it into a small desktop marker. Power comes from the internal lithium battery or a DC 20 V supply (a dedicated power bank is supported), drawing under 90 W.
