What separates them for a production job is what each one checks before you get the file: does it start from your real part outline, are interior holes kept as holes, is anything thinner than your kerf, and does art stop at the boundary. Pick a real part with at least two interior holes, one narrow bridge and a notch on the edge — not a forgiving rectangle or circle.

What does Reticle Red check before it delivers Fabricator art?
The zone you paint on your part is the manufacturing boundary. It is enforced at zero margin after generation, so holes, slots, ports and trigger guards are carved out rather than filled, and art that spills past the part is caught before delivery instead of being cropped and shipped. Before a run starts, an outline with a broken boundary is sent back for repair, so no credits are spent on it; a run that fails refunds automatically.
What does Bonny Creations AI Frame check?
Its September 16, 2026 announcement says every generated frame is measured before it is shown: enough clear space in the centre for the letter, no features thinner than the kerf allows, and one connected piece rather than floating fragments. A frame that fails retries automatically, and output downloads as SVG and DXF. It is described for frames around a monogram, not for art fitted inside an uploaded part outline.
Does Craftgineer DecoFill keep holes clear?
DecoFill generates decorative artwork inside an uploaded outline and prepares PNG or traced SVG output, with an offset-border option to inset the pattern from the edges. Its public pages say the pattern respects the shape boundaries; they do not describe interior-hole handling or kerf checks. Test it with an outline that has holes.
Does EngraveFill.com preserve holes?
Yes, it says so: EngraveFill.com states that it fills only the valid interior of your shape and that borders, contours and internal holes are never modified, then exports PNG artwork for laser and CNC software. It is a separate product from EngraveFill Pro at engravefill.app.
Can Rayforge's AI Workpiece Generator fit art to my part?
Its documentation describes creating laser-cut designs from a text description plus dimensions in millimetres; it does not describe uploading an existing part outline as the input. Rayforge is free, open-source control software, so it is a strong choice when the design starts from a description rather than an existing part.
Why not just publish a side-by-side output test?
Because a fair one needs every tool run on the same outline at its best settings, with the files published so anyone can check them. Until that has been done, this page compares only what each vendor states publicly and gives you the test to run yourself.
Production checks before you export from Reticle Red or Other AI fill tools
Use the workflow on a representative sample before committing customer material. Confirm the finished dimensions, smallest line weight, layer assignments, focus, and machine parameters in the software that will run the job. A short test on matching scrap catches scale, contrast, kerf, and material-finish differences while they are still inexpensive to correct.
