What does Crystal Fabricator build?

  • Builds a millimeter-scaled 3D point cloud in your browser: one engraving point per pixel, with brightness setting its depth inside the block.
  • Live 3D preview of the cloud inside a wireframe of your block, with the safety margin drawn and any point outside it marked red.
  • Exports XYZ text, binary PLY, and vertex-only STL point clouds for sub-surface laser engraving (SSLE) controllers.
  • Point spacing, depth scale, gamma, contrast and threshold controls, plus optional Neural Isolate background removal and Relief Depth heightmaps.

What machine do I need for internal crystal engraving?

Sub-surface laser engraving requires a dedicated SSLE machine — a green (532nm) or UV laser that focuses inside the crystal without marking the surface. Crystal Fabricator prepares the point-cloud data; it does not drive the machine directly.

What file does Crystal Fabricator export?

A millimeter-scaled 3D point cloud in three formats: plain XYZ coordinates, a binary PLY, and a vertex-only STL with one degenerate facet per point (not a printable mesh). Point-cloud files import into the software that drives most SSLE machines; verify the import on your controller version before a production run.

Can I preview the result before engraving?

Yes. The 3D preview shows every point inside a wireframe of your block, in the image colors or as a glow, with the safety margin drawn and any point outside it marked red, so you can check depth and density before committing a blank.

Does Crystal Fabricator cost credits?

Building the point cloud, the 3D preview and all three exports are free and run in your browser with no account. Relief Depth is free with an account; only the optional Neural Isolate background removal costs credits (1 credit), refunded automatically if the run fails.
