CO2 Laser Settings by Material

Every CO2 recipe in the Laser Data Library in one table: 20 starting values across wood, acrylic, glass and other materials. Each row opens the free LightBurn test grid bracketed around its own power and speed, so the first burn on your machine checks the number instead of trusting it.

CO2 Laser Settings by Material: every recipe

Each row opens the free LightBurn test grid with that row's values filled in. No account needed.

Production guidance for CO2 Laser Settings by Material

These rows come from the same records as the Parameters Library and the settings-by-material tables. All of them are bundled baselines with no vouch or proof-burn photo, recorded on the source and model shown in each row. Wattage, lens, focus and the material finish change the result more than the table can, so treat a row as the centre of a test, not a production preset.

  1. 1. CO2 results move with lens focal length and air assist pressure. Note both alongside these numbers or the recipe will not reproduce on another machine.
  2. 2. Grain direction, resin pockets and moisture content move the result more than the numbers do — run the test square on the same board you plan to cut, not a different piece of the same species.
  3. 3. Cast and extruded acrylic behave differently at the same settings — cast frosts white and extruded tends to melt, so confirm which sheet you have before trusting these numbers.
  4. 4. Glass chips rather than ablates. A wet paper mask or dish soap film spreads the heat and is usually the difference between a frosted mark and a cracked piece.
  5. 5. Change one value at a time. Burn the bracketed grid, pick the cleanest cell, then run a second, narrower grid around it before a customer part.

Source data reviewed 2026-08-09. The test grid link writes the row's power, speed, and any frequency, pulse width, hatch interval and pass count it records into the grid's Constant Values, then sweeps power from half to one and a half times the row's value across and speed the same way down. Burn it on matching scrap, keep the winning cell, and save it in the Parameters Library.
