Frequently Asked Questions
How many layers can a stacked sign have?
Vector Stacker separates artwork by colour region, so the practical limit is how many distinct colours your source image has. Three to six layers is typical for a stacked sign — each one becomes its own cut file.
How do the layers line up when I glue them?
The exporter adds automatic alignment keys and a backing board border, so each cut board registers against the one below it without measuring.
What materials work for stacked signs?
Baltic birch ply, hardwood veneer sheet, and cast acrylic all cut and stack cleanly. Mixing a painted backing layer with natural wood top layers gives the strongest contrast.
Is Vector Stacker the same as Sign Maker?
Yes — Sign Maker was renamed Vector Stacker. The old /sign-maker URL permanently redirects here, and any saved projects carried over.
