Dial in MOPA color marking without wasting plates

The Laser Lab bundles a MOPA color predictor, delay tuner, and parameter test-grid generator so you converge on a repeatable color recipe in one or two test plates instead of a drawer full of scrap. The Parameters Library adds clearly labeled bundled baselines and community submissions by machine and material.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do the calculators cost credits?

No — every laser calculator, the MOPA predictor, and the Laser Data Library are free to use.

Why do my colors differ from someone else’s settings?

MOPA colors come from oxide-layer thickness, which shifts with lens, focus, source, and even plate finish. Treat shared settings as a starting band, then run a test grid on your own machine to lock the recipe.

Production checks before export

Use the workflow on a representative sample before committing customer material. Confirm the finished dimensions, smallest line weight, layer assignments, focus, and machine parameters in the software that will run the job. A short test on matching scrap catches scale, contrast, kerf, and material-finish differences while they are still inexpensive to correct.
