Mechanical Filigree Engraving Styles
Mechanical Filigree fuses two things engravers love: classic baroque acanthus scrollwork and finely drawn machine hardware. Scroll stems wind over and under pipe runs, ribbed pistons, ringed lens portholes and thin circuit traces, so every part reads as ornament and machine at once. Clockwork Filigree builds an all-over field around a compass-star rotor, Filigree Spire City raises a skyline of mechanical needle spires framed in scroll, and Cyborg Muse Filigree centres a serene android profile in the same scroll-and-machine surround. These styles are dense by design, so they suit slides, frames, grips and panels where you want the whole part covered. Pair them with the Fill the whole background switch and a fine Pattern Size for the most detail.
Materials these styles are tuned for: metal, polymer, wood.

Using the Mechanical Filigree styles
Open the Fabricator, load the outline of the part you are engraving, and choose a style from this family. The pattern is generated to fill your outline rather than pasted over it, so the result fits the part instead of being cropped to it. Run a test on matching scrap before committing a production piece — density that reads perfectly on coated metal can close up on open-grain wood, and the fix is usually speed or an extra pass rather than more power.
