• 2026-08-31 — Fabricator Choices, Without the Visual Noise: The real-fire comparison now presents transparent engraving art on a clean warm-white proof surface. The transparency checker no longer shows through fine black linework and makes monochrome results look corrupted. The compact engine selector is now a balanced two-by-two grid with equal buttons and a consistent credits-and-speed line, so SPARK, FORGE, ULTRA, and MASTER stay readable without one choice stretching or wrapping the entire menu.
• 2026-08-31 — MASTER Honors Fine Detail Again: MASTER CORE now always uses its included High Quality setting for member fires, including the first fire after opening The Fabricator. Plain-language requests such as “fine filigree” and “fine embellishments” are also preserved instead of being rewritten into fewer, larger scrolls.
• 2026-08-31 — See the Core Before You Fire: The Fabricator engine picker now opens a visual comparison of all five choices — SPARK, FORGE, FORGE COLOR, ULTRA, and MASTER — with five real completed fires for each one, plain-language strengths and tradeoffs, live credit prices, and a one-click way to select the choice you just reviewed.
• 2026-08-31 — Coin Field Artifacts Stopped Before Minting: Coin Designer HD now detects and removes a rare faint ridge floating in the empty field before the depth map reaches your Armory. If a suspicious map cannot be repaired safely, it is rejected and the credits are restored instead of delivering a bad mint.
• 2026-08-31 — Nothing Clips, On Any Screen: On the FIRE step in SIMPLE mode, the second toolbar row (Quality & finish, Run Plan, Forge Color, Show All Tools) could be squeezed to an unusable sliver — the toolbar now grows to fit its content on every screen size, and its controls wrap instead of vanishing. Verified across every step, both modes, and both toolbar layouts at two window sizes.
• 2026-08-31 — Right-Sized Switches: The SAVE SAFE CHOICES toggle no longer renders as a full-width banner in the Fabricator left dock — it is a compact one-line switch, with its description in the hover/touch tooltip. Any dock toggle that does carry a second line now wraps its text instead of clipping mid-word, and the AI RAW description in the layers panel wraps too.
• 2026-08-31 — A Left Dock Worth Docking: The Fabricator left dock got a full visual pass: every tool group is now named exactly once (Prompt, Style DNA, Engine and friends no longer print their titles twice), the two art-zone groups have distinct names, and long engine pills like MASTER wrap fully readable inside the dock instead of clipping mid-word. A harmless background hiccup could flash an UNEXPECTED ERROR popup at first-time visitors — it no longer interrupts anyone.
• 2026-08-31 — Messages You Can Actually Notice: When a new member message is waiting, the message bubble in the header now pulses a red ring until you open it — on desktop, in the account menu, and in the mobile drawer. If your device asks for reduced motion, you get the quiet badge instead.
• 2026-08-31 — Updates No Longer Interrupt Your Open Tab: When we ship an update while you have Reticle Red open, the app now picks it up by itself — one quick automatic refresh instead of the A NEW VERSION WAS DEPLOYED screen appearing after every fire. Your work and any running jobs are preserved and reattach on their own; finished art is always in your Armory regardless. The Return to Command Center button on that screen previously kept the tab on the old build, which brought the screen right back on the next run — it now always loads the current version.
• 2026-08-31 — A Cleaner, Truer Fabricator Toolbar: The EXPORT toolbar now follows the order you actually work in: Part Size leads (it stamps the real-world dimensions on every file after it), downloads and color layers next, then your takes and finishing tools, with Save and the Continue In handoffs at the end. When space runs short, real deliverables now stay visible longer than upsells and handoffs. The engine ladder no longer overflows its menu: with MASTER CORE joining the public lineup, the five engine pills now wrap cleanly inside the Quality & finish and MORE menus instead of the widest button punching past the edge. Sending Fabricator art to Depth Studio could silently lose the artwork when an older cloud draft restored over it — the handed-off art now always wins. The duplicate 2.5D Relief button was removed from Continue In; the ribbon’s own 3D RELIEF group is the one place for depth maps, same engines and prices, plus the Depth Studio.
• 2026-08-31 — Armory Badges You Can Trust: The READY FOR FORGE badge in your Armory is now earned, not decorative: every isolated cutout is measured at creation, and a cutout that kept only a faint outline shows a clear BROKEN CUTOUT warning with what to do next — instead of a green light one click before the fire rejects it. Existing Armory cutouts were re-checked and labeled the same way.
• 2026-08-31 — Broken Cutouts Caught Early, Result QA Fully Readable: Subject Isolate now refuses a result that kept only a faint outline instead of a usable subject — before it reaches your Armory and before any credit is spent where possible — and tells you exactly what to do next. The same health check guards reference images on Fabricator fires and Style Foundry mints, rejecting a broken cutout for free instead of charging a run that cannot succeed. The Result QA guidance panel now scrolls within the canvas, so every check and recommendation is readable — the bottom cards were previously clipped with no way to reach them.
• 2026-08-31 — MASTER CORE Joins the Ladder — Our Finest Detail Engine: MASTER CORE is now available to every member as the top Fabricator tier (10 CR, about 2 minutes per fire). It is the engine behind our most intricate showcase pieces: describe what you want on the part and MASTER renders it with the finest line density we offer — richly detailed scenes, ultra-fine filigree, museum-grade linework. High quality is included in the price. One part per fire; hairline detail shines on fiber and MOPA metal work, while ULTRA remains the bold, burn-ready recommendation for diode and CO2.
• 2026-08-30 — Ultra Keeps Dense Long-Part First Results: Ultra now recognizes both alternatives when a long, narrow two-choice board is returned as broad carrier strips, selects the stronger continuous MICRO result, and applies the original physical silhouette and cutouts exactly instead of discarding usable first-pass ornament. Candidate boards across Spark, Forge, and Ultra are also limited to their single paid provider image—an internal rejection can no longer purchase an unnecessary reroll.
• 2026-08-30 — Fabricator First Pass Uses Each Model's Real Canvas: Spark, Forge, and Ultra now size long, narrow two-choice boards to the closest aspect ratio each FAL model actually supports instead of floating shallow silhouettes inside a square. MICRO and FINE prompts also require many short repeated cells and turns across the full physical part, so ribs, veins, and contour lines inside a few oversized forms no longer count as small dense motifs.
• 2026-08-30 — Fabricator FIRE Restored for True Two-Choice MICRO Boards: Fabricator FIRE now keeps the two-choice MICRO board consistent from deterministic planning through the provider instruction, preserving more native detail per physical silhouette. A contract mismatch had stopped some requests before an AI image was purchased and could ask the provider for a third unplanned choice; every candidate-board prompt and generation route now shares the same tested two-through-four choice contract.
• 2026-08-30 — Safe First Results and More Choices From One FIRE: Fabricator quality review now delivers the first usable, exact-clipped result instead of buying and then refunding subjective lettering, style, reference, composition, or Pattern Size rerolls. Blank or corrupt output, artwork outside the exact physical mask, and unresolved multipart registration remain hard production failures; review opinions are attached as notes for inspection. Operator Command members can enable Save Safe Choices to place up to three additional usable alternatives already present in the same paid candidate board into Armory. These choices use the same provider image—no extra AI image is purchased.
• 2026-08-30 — MICRO Now Means Small Motifs on Every Part: Fabricator Pattern Size now applies to each physical silhouette instead of the combined multi-panel sheet or its largest part. MICRO asks for many complete miniature motifs—not merely fine lines inside a few oversized forms—and keeps more native image detail for each first-generation choice. Named layout regions such as left, center, and right are also kept separate from the requested subject count.
• 2026-08-30 — Fine Subject Scrollwork Reaches the First Result: Fabricator MICRO and FINE subject boards now count complete supporting motifs instead of mistaking veins and nested lines inside a few oversized leaves for fine pattern scale. Filigree, scrollwork, foliage, and flourishes remain supporting ornament even when assigned to a named region, and safely registered black-ground candidates no longer refund solely because the provider redrew private staging rails outside the physical part. Exact clipping, holes, cutouts, blank-art checks, and catastrophic-spill protection remain strict.
• 2026-08-30 — Micro Detail and Black-Ground Boards Are More Reliable: Fabricator MICRO designs now ask each first-generation candidate for a different fine-detail composition within the same MICRO tier, remove conflicting broad or airy scale wording from the runtime Style DNA, and reject a confidently wrong-scale result instead of charging for it. Inverted black-ground boards also lock every physical mask and checker region in place, while Master Relief Scroll can pass only when the exact final raster proves complete coverage, boundary integrity, and continuity.
• 2026-08-30 — Pattern Size Now Applies to Subject Designs: Fabricator designs containing a focal subject or lettering now apply the selected MICRO-through-MAX Pattern Size to their supporting ornament and interior detail on the first candidate board. Every alternative holds the same tier; selection keeps complete, safely contained requested content first and then chooses among results that visibly match the requested scale. Exact physical-mask, hole, cutout, and protected-region safeguards are unchanged.
• 2026-08-30 — Pattern Size Now Drives the First Fabricator Result: The Fabricator now treats Pattern Size as an authoritative composition control from MICRO through MAX. Every alternative in a candidate board keeps the same requested motif scale, and the selector prioritizes candidates that match it before aesthetic differences, so fine scrollwork is no longer overruled by a Style DNA phrase asking for broad or airy forms. Exact physical-mask and protected-region safeguards remain unchanged.
• 2026-08-30 — Fabricator Borders Survive Safe Quality Retries: The Fabricator now distinguishes a requested perimeter band's small outer-edge overhang from artwork painted through holes, gutters, or protected space. A safe single-part border retry reaches the exact physical-mask clip instead of being wrongly refunded; catastrophic spill, deep-cutout ink, multipart geometry, and blank-art safeguards remain strict.
• 2026-08-30 — A Clearer Scrollwork Start and Safer Page Recovery: The Scrollwork Fill Generator now leads with one four-step path from outline and art zone to fitted artwork and laser export. Its proof is explicitly labeled as a Reticle Red-owned workflow sample, with a direct example and matching-scrap reminder instead of implying an independent customer burn. Older open tabs now pass a missing post-release page module into the existing guarded refresh recovery instead of turning it into an opaque blank-page error.
• 2026-08-29 — Western Bright Cut Presets Are Now Unmistakable: The Fabricator now labels the established white-ground preset as Open-Ground Western Bright Cut (Wriggle Cuts) and Hudson's solid-black preset as Black-Ground Western Bright Cut (Smooth Cuts). The stable Style DNA keys and each preset's established generation behavior are unchanged; the clearer names prevent the open-ground, zigzag-accented preset from being mistaken for the black-ground, smooth-cut workflow.
• 2026-08-29 — Black-Ground Bright Cut Keeps a Clean Physical Edge: Black-Ground Western Bright Cut now preserves a narrow, uninterrupted solid-black band around the part perimeter, open notches, and hardware holes after generation. White scroll leaves stay complete inside that band instead of crossing a cut edge; the safeguard is isolated to this new black-ground Style DNA.
• 2026-08-29 — Popular Substrate Chips, Leaner Stacker Layout, and Mobile 3D Enhancements: Laser Parameters now features 1-click popular substrate shortcut chips (Basswood, Stainless Steel, Acrylic, Anodized Aluminum, Leather, Slate) for instant speed, power, and frequency parameter discovery across machines. Depth Studio mobile 3D model viewer now features an expanded 48px touch target with a dedicated lock indicator, preventing accidental screen tumbling while scrolling through project details on phones. Vector Stacker sidebar initializes with collapsed secondary modes to optimize tablet portrait and laptop screen real estate, keeping the layer stack and active source canvas front and center. The AI Design Assistant composer expands dynamically for multi-paragraph prompts and pasted parameter tables without obscuring previous responses.
• 2026-08-29 — Black-Ground Western Bright Cut Joins Style DNA: Black-Ground Western Bright Cut is now available to every member in the Scrollwork & Ornamental Style DNA collection. It reserves bright white branching acanthus and tapered graver detail from a solid black engraved field, while keeping complete white motifs inside a clean black edge buffer instead of cropping them at the part boundary. Part Templates now arrive with the same red Art Zone shown by the paint tools, instead of a gray overlay that made a valid automatic mask look unfinished. The underlying vector geometry and generated mask boundary are unchanged.
• 2026-08-29 — A Free ARCLight .44 Magnum Template, Ready in Fabricator: Daniel Webster of ARCLight Laser Labs contributed his multipart Smith & Wesson .44 Magnum template to the Fabricator at 0 CR. Open Part Templates, choose ARCLight, and load the original 29-path SVG directly onto the canvas at its supplied 303.783 mm board width — no separate Vectorize step or credit charge. The creator geometry stays intact for download and export; proof the full sheet on paper or masking tape before engraving.
• 2026-08-28 — Pre-Made Part Templates From ARCLight, Inside The Fabricator: Part Templates has a new ARCLight tab. Reticle Red outlines are free but reconstructed from published dimensions rather than measured, so when you would rather start from a finished file, that tab points to ARCLight Laser Labs -- a working shop in Huntsville, Alabama that publishes the vector templates behind its firearm, knife and duty-gear work. Their catalogue is paid and sold on their own terms; Reticle Red does not fulfil those orders or take any share of them. Load one back into The Fabricator and any Style DNA will fill it.
• 2026-08-28 — Creator Partners, Starting With ARCLight Laser Labs: The partners page now has a second section for creator partners -- makers we cross-promote with, rather than hardware we sell. The first is ARCLight Laser Labs, the Huntsville, Alabama shop and template studio Daniel Webster has run since 2021, publishing cut-ready firearm panel, knife scale and duty-gear vector files. No money moves in either direction and no placement on that page is paid for, which the page says plainly.
• 2026-08-28 — Multi-Panel Routing Is Fully Automatic: The obsolete Multi-Panel switch and control-shaped status have been removed from both mobile and desktop Fabricator. FORGE, FORGE COLOR, and ULTRA still detect two or more painted art zones and select their coordinated packed workflow automatically; SPARK simply remains on its normal route without showing an unavailable toggle. Automatic panel detection is now disclosed only where it is useful: the resolved engine and Run Plan. The engine picker is reserved for choices the member can actually make.
• 2026-08-28 — Ultra Recovers Sparse Multi-Panel Ornament Instead of Refunding: ULTRA now recognizes the specific failure where a packed ornament board decorates the large panels but leaves a thin physical panel bare. It preserves the exact masks and 4K output, then uses the one remaining provider attempt on the proven FORGE renderer instead of returning an incomplete sheet or issuing another avoidable refund. Single-part, reference, Color, compact-panel, and ordinary engine workflows are unchanged. Mixed-model recovery now records the estimated cost of each actual provider endpoint separately, so the admin ledger reflects the 4K ULTRA attempt and any lower-cost FORGE recovery instead of multiplying one model price across both calls.
• 2026-08-28 — Ultra Delivers 4K and Compact Multi-Panel Sheets Stay Registered: ULTRA now delivers a 4096-pixel long edge from its native 4K provider tier even when the selected vector outline starts on a smaller intrinsic canvas. Existing canvases above 4K are preserved, and the optional 8K export remains available for larger production masters. Compact multi-panel ornament jobs now keep one full-detail packed 4K sheet instead of shrinking three repeated sheets into the same provider frame. Long, narrow PMAG-class geometry retains the one-purchase alternative board that improves cut-edge recovery, while tags, scales, and ordinary panels avoid the extra topology and registration risk.
• 2026-08-28 — Depth Studio Uses Three Clear, Production-Ready Depth Routes: The obsolete Photo estimator has been removed from Depth Studio. Photos and line drawings now share AI Sculpt: Fast uses Nano Pro Edit, HD uses the queued purpose-built HiTem3D relief model, and free deterministic modes remain available for exact geometry. Saved drafts that used the old Photo choice migrate safely to AI Sculpt instead of failing or invoking a retired model. Depth-map charges, queued jobs, refunds, and Armory files now record the requested and delivered route, provider, model, workflow, quality tier, and fallback outcome. Support and admin reviews can distinguish a provider failure from successful deterministic recovery without inferring the engine from a generic ledger label.
• 2026-08-27 — The Fabricator Moves to a Clear 2 / 4 / 6 / 8 Ladder: ULTRA is now a true 4K premium tier for both single-part and multi-panel generation at 8 CR. Its provider request, cost accounting, preflight detail label, and member-facing price now describe the same high-resolution product. FORGE COLOR is now the dedicated 6 CR palette workflow, completing the simple SPARK 2 · FORGE 4 · FORGE COLOR 6 · ULTRA 8 ladder. Automatic multi-panel routing remains included in each selected workflow price.
• 2026-08-27 — Forge Color and Multi-Panel Workflows Become Automatic: FORGE COLOR is now a distinct 4-credit engine choice instead of a modifier shared by multiple engines. It keeps the Solid and Shaded finish choices, palette controls, reference-image support, No DNA workflows, and exact physical-mask delivery in one predictable route. FORGE and ULTRA now detect two or more painted art zones automatically and pack the complete job into one coordinated 4K generation at the normal selected-engine price. Members no longer need to find, enable, or pay an add-on for Multi-Panel. Small multi-panel masks now receive several whole-sheet alternatives inside one provider result, followed by measured local selection and exact inverse mapping. Heroes stay complete in the largest compatible panel, supporting regions remain decorated, protected cutouts stay empty, and the private checker scaffold is removed before delivery.
• 2026-08-27 — Image Lab Keeps Every Operation in View on Desktop: Image Lab now presents Prep, Upscale, Remove BG, Vectorize, and Slice together in one equal-width desktop tab row. Desktop operators no longer need a horizontal scrollbar to reach an operation, while the compact swipeable rail remains available on phones and tablets.
• 2026-08-27 — Recovery, Mobile Production, and Account Workflows Level Up: Paid AI work now has a dedicated Jobs center with durable status, recovery links, settlement details, and reload-safe visibility. Image Lab also adds a guarded subject-isolation batch queue with an up-front total-credit boundary, bounded concurrency, per-image retry or refund state, and recovery after a refresh. Subject Isolation now validates the returned transparency before delivery and routes extreme long, narrow images through a purpose-matched background-removal engine. Duplicate requests reuse the same operation and every terminal failure settles exactly once instead of leaving a blank result or ambiguous charge. Saved projects now include a recoverable Trash, Profile includes reconciled credit usage and refunds, and the home screen can resume the newest recoverable project directly. Account-scoped local state is cleared safely when users change accounts on a shared device. SVG generators now hand off units and source metadata to Production Bridge, generator recipes and learning progress can sync by explicit opt-in, and the learning library has one shareable search across tutorials, manuals, tips, FAQs, glossary, and help content. Mobile and keyboard workflows received a broad usability pass: camera capture is available for proof and image tools, short-landscape messaging keeps the composer usable, pricing and Coin Designer use complete keyboard patterns, and signed-out navigation no longer flashes a member identity. Reticle machine pages can show permissioned, settings-backed output proof, while quote requests preserve a private two-step draft and client intake supports resumable multi-file uploads with strict type, size, deadline, and safety checks. Subscription recovery now restores same-period entitlements idempotently, payment-failure notices remain transactional rather than marketing, and lifecycle messages wait for confirmed delivery before being latched as sent. New-member welcome credits now settle once even when account setup retries in the background. The account and admin histories show one authoritative grant without changing a member’s real balance.
• 2026-08-27 — Placement and Finish No Longer Refund Complete Artwork: A complete reference subject that sits low, high, or toward one end of a part is now delivered instead of refunded. The reference check treats centering and the reserved outer band as placement preferences and reports them as advice, while the real manufacturing failures -- artwork amputated by the cut, missing anatomy, or a subject crossing the physical boundary -- still refund exactly as before. Members who had deliberately asked for artwork placed low were among those affected. Asking for a photographic or shaded finish no longer counts as missing content. Engraving output is flat by design, so a request for shading the format cannot produce is no longer scored as though the artwork left something out. The check still confirms every subject, attribute, and count you actually asked for. Fabricator no longer starts a quality retry it cannot finish. The remaining attempt budget is read at the moment the decision is made, so a job that has already used its attempts reports its real result instead of failing on an attempt limit and discarding images that were already generated.
• 2026-08-26 — Advanced Fabricator Opens With Every Tool in the Left Dock: A first desktop Advanced-mode session now opens with the complete tool set in the left dock from 1024px through ultrawide layouts. Operators who prefer the top toolbar can move the tools there with the clearly labeled location control, and that explicit browser preference is honored on reload and later visits. Simple mode keeps its familiar toolbar, while collapsing the left dock no longer changes the saved location preference.
• 2026-08-26 — Spark Keeps Every Valid Narrow-Part Alternative: Spark now recognizes all four visibly separate ornament alternatives when the image engine draws a long, narrow result taller than its planning row. Fabricator maps each complete returned envelope back to the exact part without stretching its cutouts, then selects the strict-safe alternative with the least protected-space intrusion instead of overlooking valid choices. Correct white-on-black relief candidates on this same guarded Spark route are now checked against both the returned chroma census and the independent post-composite engraving coverage. A clean cutout-preserving result is no longer mislabeled as inverted merely because one census lands just below its historical threshold.
• 2026-08-26 — Spark Preserves Long Cutouts Before Clipping: Long, narrow Spark ornament generation now measures large edge-open slots and notches and gives their exact positions and depths to the image engine before it draws. The generated candidates preserve those openings instead of closing or shortening them and relying on the final mask to amputate misplaced artwork; when several candidates are usable, Fabricator selects the one with the least pre-clip intrusion into protected space.
• 2026-08-26 — Reference Heroes Fit the Mask and Color Adds Shaded Finish: A single style-less reference on FORGE or ULTRA now recovers the complete generated hero before exact-mask delivery, measures the hero itself instead of its uploaded photo or card background, and seats the largest complete 70%, 85%, or 100% alternative inside the physical part. This prevents clipped anatomy, tiny PMAG figures, shifted registration, and private checker or magenta guide pixels from reaching members without changing styled, multipart, banner, border, seam, Panel, or Spark workflows. Color Mode now offers Solid and Shaded finishes before FIRE. Shaded uses crisp palette-color highlight, midtone, and shadow planes suitable for separate LightBurn color layers while continuing to forbid gradients, airbrush, soft shading, and photographic texture.
• 2026-08-26 — Color References Stay Inside the Part and One-Run Recovery: Registered style-less Color Mode reference boards no longer refund a complete, safely contained hero because an AI reviewer calls its measured placement off-center. Missing anatomy, physical-edge contact, and cropping still stop delivery; the exception applies only to the one-reference FORGE and ULTRA candidate-board workflow. When a style-less Color Mode reference board has several complete mask-safe alternatives, Fabricator now deterministically delivers the largest measured-safe hero. The artistic tie-breaker can no longer choose the smallest candidate even though a larger complete candidate fits the same part. Part Templates now establish their contained one-piece placement before the automatic Art Zone checkpoint is saved. A fully prepared template can no longer remain blocked at FIRE as an unplaced part. Part Templates now arrive with a real rasterized Art Zone immediately. Members no longer need to press Fill Outline after loading a vector template, and FIRE can no longer be blocked by an empty mask that merely appeared present in Layers. 8K Ultra Export now converts the provider raster into a real PNG before saving or serving it. Direct, reopened, and merged PNG downloads can no longer contain JPEG bytes under a misleading .png filename. Style-less ULTRA and FORGE Color Mode now size full-body references against the widest aspect-matched area that is provably inside the physical part, instead of inheriting a narrow full-height rectangle that made PMAG heroes tiny. Three guarded sizes ride one paid candidate board; retained small scaffold copies are removed in favor of the larger generated hero, and private checker or magenta registration marks are rebuilt as clean member-safe background. Reference review now requires typed identity, exact class counts, and concrete source-residue evidence. Real duplicate subjects, retained photo cards, interfaces, and printed labels still stop a run; PMAG checker or palette-edge geometry can no longer be mistaken for a source photograph and purchase a needless retry. Equivalent names for uncommon human figures—such as Santa Muerte, Grim Reaper, skeletal figure, or religious figure—now share one broad count class. A complete one-of-one subject can no longer be retried and refunded merely because the reviewer rephrased its label. Repeated delivery of the same paid FIRE now replays its original completed or refunded outcome instead of purchasing another provider image. A deliberate new FIRE receives a fresh request ID, and reconnect recovery surfaces the original terminal result instead of a false already-exists failure.
• 2026-08-23 — Cleaner Guides, Showcase Sharing, and Social Previews: Related resource cards across comparison and workflow guides now open the correct tutorial, tip, manual, puzzle, and business-software destinations instead of missing pages. Public showcase links remain shareable while search discovery now favors entries with substantive curated descriptions, and the magazine stippling template has a properly sized dedicated social preview.
